In fact it has some very scary similarities in that both victims were in the process of divorcing their husbands. Both husbands worked in positions of authority that would lend themselves to knowing the county coroners within the jurisdictions where the cases took place.
A stubborn Lewis County coroner refuses to acknowledge his mistake in a female state troopers death.
CHEHALIS, Wash. (AP) - The ruling by the Lewis County coroner that a former state trooper committed suicide was inaccurate and "arbitrary and capricious," a jury has concluded.
A Lewis County jury returned that decision on Tuesday regarding the death of Ronda Reynolds, The Daily News of Longview reports.
She was found shot in the head by her husband at their home in Toledo in 1998. Her mother Barbara Thompson filed the lawsuit because she believes her daughter's death was a homicide. She hoped the jury would overrule the coroner.
Coroner Terry Wilson ruled the death suicide, but Thompson's team brought an array of witnesses to dispute Wilson's finding.
After the 12-member jury reached a unanimous verdict Tuesday, Wilson said "no," when asked if he would reconsider the cause of death on Reynolds' death certificate.
The above portion of this article was from the AP wire service.
Coroner Terry Wilson had better dust off his resume and prepare to start looking for a new place to work. As an elected official that has now stubbornly place the county taxpayers in jeopardy of facing monetary damages in a lawsuit.
Faced with expert testimony disputing his finding he refused to reconsider his finding that the state trooper was in fact a homicide victim.
Shades of the coroner that let Drew Peterson get away with the alleged murder of his third wife that has now been ruled a homicide.
Coroner Terry Wilson will be out of office before this case goes away.
Perhaps the coroner may have stopped ask himself does it seem reasonable that a woman that is about to shot herself in the head would bother to plug in an electric blanket, wrap up in it and shoot one's self in the head?
Or is more plausible that some would wrap the victim in the blanket to keep her body temperature high making it easier to establish an alibi for ones where abouts at time of the murder.
Sometimes it necessary for people to employee common sense in conducting an investigation. That was not done in the death investigation of Drew Peterson's third wife.
It appears it may have been employed here either!
Killers would do well to remember that lady justice is blind, she is not deaf or dumb, and she carry's a big sword.

Just to let you know
I have recently had a stroke that has resulted in some seizures. At times I make grammar errors as I don't always have someone available to proof read these articles, before I have to submit them. I try to do my best to keep the information fresh.
The old brain doesn't connect the dots as it once might have. The stroke dusted some of the dots of my dice I'm afraid. Thank you for being understanding.
Please feel free to point these errors out to me as I review all comments and try to use the information to give you a better article.
