"The level of cold bloodedness of some judges is something more americans need to know about. These judges should be held to task civilly. It makes no sense to offer such vicious abusers of children any immunity on any level. We need townhalls for this but the public just can't comprehend it unless they experience it firsthand, it seems." This is a quote from reader Alisa, in response to a story about judicial immunity.
It points to a challenge for the fair family court movement. If you didn't live it, you probably won't believe it.
In Alisa's case, which does not happen to be a family law case, she feels there was bias and an outright conspiracy against her by the court. Many people might call her crazy and there are people ridiculing her on websites like Courthouse Forum.
For people who have suffered similar bias and corruption, it is easy to believe. One point of contention is that a "psych eval" was done to determine competancy on Alisa. She claims the "psychiatrist" who administered the test, a Dr. Villarde is a fraud. A search on the California Medical Board website returns no licensed psychiatrist by the name Villarde or Villardi. There may be an explanation for that, but it seems someone should tell Alisa what that explanation is, instead of calling her crazy.
There was a person in the audience at the Elkins Family Law Task Force hearing who was just there to support a friend. This observer thought the speeches did not address the recommendations, but sounded more like a therapy session for the participants.
Perhaps this disbelief that attrocities can occur is what cloaks corrupt judiciaries from detection. There are people afterall who still think the holocaust was a hoax.
