Wichita's Boundless Playscape
Congratulations Wichita on your Playful City USA award.

KaBOOM!, a national non-profit dedicated to bringing play back into children's lives, recently released its list of 2009 Playful City USA communities.

Wichita, KS made the list!  The "Air Capital" is featured for the first time on this list of 93 cities which includes New York City, San Fransisco, Honolulu, Indianapolis, IN; and Columbus, OH.  The chosen cities combined a commitment to quality of play areas, quantity, and access.

In addition to this annual award, KaBOOM! is compiling a database of parks and playgrounds nationwide.  Our Frugal Family Examiner has more about this initiative in this informative article.

To add a playspace near you, visit KaBOOM's website.
