Oscar Wilde
    Oscar Wilde

"Work is the curse of the drinking class." ~Oscar Wilde

Some sad truth can be found in this quote for some, but for others it may serve as a sacrastic and hopeful reminder--while you're out of work, you do at least have the luxury of spending some time doing something more recreational!

While no one would encourage a drunken job search, Wilde's quote reminds us that there is a place for recreation in life, and that place doesn't simply go away whether or not there is work.

For those gainfully employed readers, take heed as well. It's delightful to have job security and long, hard hours may in fact pay off, but what is it that you're working towards in the end? Take some time out of the day for your own hobby--or, just have a pint after work.
