Sara Lee Celebrates National Sandwich Day

Sara Lee Deli seeks to attract new Twitter followers while also fighting hunger on National Sandwich Day, November 3. Sara Lee Deli will donate $1 per Twitter follower -- up to $25,000 -- to Share Our Strength, an organization devoted to ending childhood hunger in the U.S. by 2015. National Sandwich Day and Sara Lee are making the most of social media with this very important cause.

Sara Lee will be using #sldeli and #delidifference hash tags to spread the word among the Twitter community. Followers will be encouraged to re-tweet campaign messages to make this campaign go viral.

How do you participate and help use social media to end childhood hunger?

TWITTER: Follow @SaraLeeDeli. Followers will not only help the cause, but they will have access to sandwich recipes, kitchen tips and coupons throughout the year.

FACEBOOK: Join Sara Lee Deli's Facebook Fan page. The fan page will  feature discussions, polls, interactive tools and conversations about the charity and its cause. Fans and visitors will also have the opportunity to learn the seven steps to creating an award-winning sandwich, from Sara Lee chefs, and read tips and fun facts related to National Sandwich Day.

Helping Sara Lee Deli put an end to childhood hunger is a cause that everyone should participate in. National Sandwich Day certainly has more meaning when it's connected to a great cause. So, enjoy a sandwich and get involved with Sara Lee's campaign to end childhood hunger.
