Do you feel like a judge has let you down? Or maybe you have words of praise for a particular judge. You can let your voice be known on Courthouse Forum.

I discovered Courthouse Forum earlier this week when I was researching Albany County Family Court Judge, Gerard Maney, who had been arrested for DWAI. Discussion on Courthouse Forum about Maney was so hot, I couldn't get onto the site for several hours.

When I finally got onto the site, here is what I found. While many of the comments were negative, Judge Maney had a least two people defending him on the forum.

Courthouse Forum keeps tabs on the worst judges. The worst judges are based on voting on the forum. As of the date of this article, Judge Maney is listed as the twelfth worst judge in New York State for 2009.

Courthouse Forum is run by Government Forums, Inc., which also operates. www.RateTheCourts.com. You can fill out anonymous judicial surveys on RateTheCourts.com. According to the website, "Survey criteria is based, in part, upon the American Bar Association's Black Letter Guidelines for the Evaluation of Judicial Performance (February 2005)."

Twenty-one people have filled out surveys for Judge Gerard Maney on www.RateTheCourts.com. You can view the survey results for Judge Gerard Maney here.

Both Courthouse Forum and RateTheCourts.com give the public an opportunity to praise or criticize virtually every judge and court in the United States.
