Our first glimpse at Llanview this week began back at Dorian's dinner party, which was orchestrated to convince people that she wasn't "a monster" - specifically her daughter's boyfriend's parents. They had already seen her behaving badly after she'd had a few too many glasses of champagne (admittedly over a man) and heard stories about her past actions from her friendly neighbors and former employees.
In an attempt to patch things up for the young lovers, Langston and Markko, Dorian invited all the people she'd wronged to a dinner party along with Markko’s parents.
Things seemed to go right when everyone showed up (thanks to a guilt trip from Noelle) and Dorian tried to offer apologies; but Markko's father wasn't easily convinced. After Markko stood up to him, he threw the young man out his house.
A worried Langston offered Markko a place at La Boulaie, but Dorian quickly found the reasons that idea wouldn't work (including the fact that Blair's ex-husband Todd had moved in due to a court order) and heroic Viki stepped forward to offer Markko a place in her and Charlie's home at Llanfair.
Kyle Lewis (who has been appearing in the background in a lot of Fish scenes lately) cautioned Cristian about the budding romance between his two roommates - Fish and Layla, right before Roxy appeared, trying to get to the bottom of the attack in which a mystery nurse stole the blood she had been storing in case her grandson, Shane, needed it. Roxy caught Kyle pining over a picture of himself and Fish, but that was the least of her worries.
A concerned and suspicious Cristian attempted get to the bottom of Kyle's cryptic advice after things heated up between Fish and Layla at home.

Cris had a brief discussion with Téa at the hospital (where Cristian had taken his mother, Carlotta, for a stress test) and after he and Téa exchanged advice, Cristian again caught Layla and Fish kissing in John McBain's office. Layla had been hired there as an assistant, but asked Officer Fish to keep their relationship a secret at work, where she wants to be respected for a job well done, and doesn't want to be known as Fish's girlfriend or have people thinking he is the reason she got the job.
In the meantime, John was with Marty (rather than at work), where they, too, attempted to get romantic; but Marty had flashbacks of her time with Todd and needed to deal with getting him out of her head before she could move forward with John.
In an attempt to do so, she paid Todd a visit in which she diagnosed him with narcissism and told him he needed to get himself straightened out before he has to explain himself to their shared grandchild, Hope.
But not before Todd had some more pressing problems to deal with.
He recently became romantically involved with Téa (again), who has been living at his house while he stays at La Boulaie. Blair's chagrin at Téa always showing up during her family moments prompted Blair to hire a hot life guard for swimming lessons for her boys, who she proceeded to make out with to get a rise out of Todd. The plan worked better than she had hoped, and after Todd dismissed the swimming instructor, Téa caught Todd and Blair in a flagrant demonstration of just what a jerk Todd can be.
Téa ended up pushing Todd into the pool and making it clear she never wanted to see him again. She then headed for target practice with a picture of Todd, where she got some pointers from John McBain, who she shared her inside information about Todd and Blair with.
Elsewhere in Llanview, Rex and Gigi reunited and brought Shane in on a plan to trick Stacy into giving them the extra bag of blood they've learned of - faking a relapse of leukemia.
Stacy, however, caught Rex and Shane playing in the house and was suspicious that Shane wasn’t really sick. She took his (normal) temperature and after Shane continued to pretend to be sick, she declared that they needed to take him to the hospital.
In the nick of time, Gigi suddenly returned to the house with Dr. Michael McBain (Surprise!) who agreed that Shane should go to the hospital. In record-breaking time, Shane's fake test results were in and Stacy was going to have to donate blood again.
Stacy, panicked, went to retrieve the blood (that had been stolen from Roxy and handed over by a scary and violent nurse who has been looking after Rex's mystery father). Rex caught and confronted her, told her of the ruse, and that he hates her. Stacy quickly threatened to destroy the blood. (Shane doesn't really need it after all, if he isn't really sick, right?) She offered Rex an ultimatum -- to sleep with her again.
Which, by the way, Rex lied to Gigi about, while Stacy advertised the fact all over town.
Back at La Boulaie, Dorian, who appeared to be going somewhere the day after her disastrous dinner party, discovered Blair by the pool at the messy cabaña, and was disgusted to find out what went on with her niece and ex-nephew-in-law. In true Dorian fashion, she had the place stripped down and the mattress burned!
Nora and Bo, who had done their research on Dr. Greg Evans and the surgery he planned to do for Matthew, were not comforted when they asked him about the risks involved. They turned down the opportunity, prompting Matthew to threaten that he would rather not live at all than never be able to walk again. Big sister Rachel agreed with Bo and Nora's decision, but Uncle Clint (soon to be step-father Clint), who found Dr. Evans in the first place, was not happy and spouted off about Nora and Bo's history together. Clint retracted his request to have Bo stand up for him at his wedding to Nora.
Dr. Evans' little sister Destiny, who seemed to be secretly hoping that Matthew likes her as more than a friend, was also very unhappy with the decision. She had her own reasons to be unhappy, however, in that Greg told her he was leaving town, and leaving his family again.
By the end of the week, Dr. Evans changed his mind, though, and brother Shaun had to lift his eyebrow when Greg invited Rachel to join his family for dinner.
Nearby, in a surprise move, Destiny enlisted the help of lawyer Téa on behalf of Matthew!
The pins-and-needles moment of the week was Jessica's unexpected visit to Starr, Cole, and baby Hope, in which she tearfully apologized and made it clear that she took responsibility for her alters' actions. Starr empathized with her over the loss of her baby - a feeling Starr already understood - and Cole (who will be doing undercover work instead of prison time) explained that taking drugs was his choice, and he had to own up to it. The parents were very forgiving of the woman who stole their baby and passed it off as her own, but when Starr offered to let Jessica hold Hope, Jessica made a painful, quick exit.
Spoiler Alert!
Téa was an important figure in Llanview this week as she showed compassion for Dorian, after witnessing Dorian’s apology as she attempted to convince Moe and Shaun to attend her dinner party. After Dorian’s exit, Téa tried to sway Moe and Shaun to show some forgiveness.
Téa had her own problems, though, with Todd and Blair, and then shared the moment with John at the shooting range. She also offered Cristian some advice about Layla this week, and was subjected to his advice about Todd.
Finally, it became clear that she would soon be representing Matthew in a case to give him the right to have the surgery he wants. In addition, sneak peeks are indicating that she is soon going to be invited to live at La Boulaie - perhaps in an attempt by Todd to win her back, or perhaps in an attempt by Dorian to keep Todd and Blair apart. Fans are speculating that it might be nice to see a bond between Téa and Dorian, especially with Téa going up against the Buchanan parentage in favor of their son.
Questions:
Is Téa still able to practice law after the debacle that was Todd and Blair's custody case? How will Destiny and Matthew pay her to represent them? Will doctor / brother Greg step in to help secure Téa, or will Uncle Clint? Does Clint know something he isn't telling Bo and Nora? Will we ever find out why Renee Buchanan was at the long-term care facility where Rex's father - the real blood donor for Shane - was before he awoke? (Speculation with fans is that Renee will be involved with this developing story.)
Yes! Satisfying moments of the week:
Monday, July 13
Roxy smarted off to Stacy about being desperate. It wouldn't be ladylike to repeat what she remarked to Stacy about the black undergarment she found on the table in Rex's apartment (“Are you gonna floss your butt with this or ya got other plans?”) but Roxy always has the ability to say what we're thinking tied up in a nice little attitude bow.
Friday, July 17

Dorian offered some advice to Blair about her actions concerning Todd. "If you ever think of sleeping with Todd again, take a cold shower, eat chocolate, put a rubber band on your wrist and then snap it. Do something – anything – else!" Classic.
And finally, the moment we’ve all been waiting months for – Rex making his newly found feelings for Stacy quite clear to her. “Did you not hear me? I said you make me want to puke!”
This story isn’t over. Stay tuned to One Life to Live to find out what is in the cards for Stacy next!
