Carlos Henriquez, 32, is running for District Seven's City Councilor spot in Boston. He is one of the new, and old, faces on the political scene. He ran unsuccessfully against incumbent, Chuck Turner two years ago. He is back to run again.
However, this is not Carlos' first foray into the Boston political scene. He comes from a dynamic political family. His mom is Sandra B. Henriquez, of the Boston Housing Authority. His father Julio Henriquez, is a long time political activist who actually ran against Chuck Turner himself in 1999.
Carlos has his own political credentials. Working as an aide to City Councilor Michael Flaherty, he has been able to reach out to new segments of the constituency. He has extensive background working with youth and crime prevention in district seven, most notably with the Dudley Street Neighborhood Initiative and more recently with Boston Connects, Inc.
Mr. Henriquez brings both new life, and history and tradition to his campaign. This is just what the city council and the City of Boston needs. For more information, or to volunteer for his campaign, log on to his website: www.voteforcarlos.com or join his Facebook page: CarlosForDistrictSeven
