I hereby extend hearty congrats to the five recipients of the Tribeca Film Institute's Sloan Filmmaker Fund, totaling $110,000 in grants.  They are as follows:

- Greg Harrison for The Radioactive Boy Scout, the true story of a scout who gets busted by the Nuclear Regulatory Commission.
- Tim Kirkman for Kitty Hawk, chronicling the trials of the Wright brothers
A Noble Affair, a Marie Curie biopic written by Kathryn Maughan
Alva, a Thomas Edison biopic

The Tribeca Institute is currently accepting 2009 submissions.
