Poppy for Veteran's Day

As October 31st (Halloween) marks the eve of the dead, November 1st (All Saint’s Day) honors beatific visionaries, and November 2nd (All Soul’s day) commemorates the faithfully departed, so is it any wonder that the start of the holiday season fills us with mixed emotions? Yet, let us not be maudlin or morose as the darker half of the year begins. Instead, be of good cheer and attend a wine event, for wine brings about good tidings.

Many of November’s wine events are also fundraisers, which provide us the opportunity to give in the spirit of the season, offer thanks for our blessings, and remember our self-sacrificing veterans and lost loved ones. So put a poppy on your lapel for remembrance and go raise your glass to family, friends, and fellow citizens.
