
Sassi will pay special tribute to veterans and members of the U.S. military today, offering a complimentary dinner for all those who serve our country.
Sassi will provide a three-course dinner, comprised of any three offerings from its menu. Such items include: a spuntini of wood-grilled shrimp with prosciutto, an antipasti of Roman-style meatballs and an entrée of manicotti with four Italian cheeses or organic chicken breast with chicken sausage, in addition to non-alcoholic drinks.
All U.S. veterans and active duty military with proof of current or former military service will eat free. Family members and friends are invited to attend, however only the person who served will receive a free dinner.
"We feel it is very important to honor and salute our active military and veterans for serving our country," said Stephen Plunkett, general manager of Sassi. "Providing them with a complimentary meal in the comforts and splendor of Sassi is our small token of appreciation to these special men and women."
Proof of service includes: U.S. Uniform Services Identification Card, U.S. Uniform Services Retired Identification Card, Current Leave and Earnings Statement, Veterans Organization Card or wearing a uniform.
