Flying the banner of "All Libertarian All The Time" a new news source named the Libertarian News Examiner launched its first article on Friday with a profile about the latest largess of longtime libertarian patron David Koch.

To find out what this new news nexus is all about, the Dallas Libertarian Examiner sat down with the Libertarian News Examiner for a one-on-one interview. Literally.

Dallas Libertarian Examiner: So what is this new Examiner project all about?

Libertarian News Examiner: The days when libertarianism was just a fringe movement is over. There's so much libertarian activism going on now, both the political and non-political types, that it's time libertarians had a home of their own.

DLE: So this is primarily a straight reporting hard news channel?

LNE: That's right. There are countless websites and blogs and networks and rings and commentary pages and opinion spots scattered across the wide wired world but very few places where libertarians can track actual news of what's going on in Libertarian Land across the country and around the world.

DLE: So where do your stories come from?

LNE: From everywhere there are libertarians doing things. Running candidates, fighting taxes, supporting initiatives, confronting corruption, protesting government intrusion, manning outreach efforts, holding campus discussions. They send in their reports and photos from their local events to the Libertarian News Examiner and their fellow libertarians from border to border and coast to coast to coast read about them.

DLE: So it's like you're developing a network of writers and photographers?

LNE: No, it's more like a band of voluntary contributors. Nobody needs to pen the picture perfect prose. All that's needed is a factual narrative and some photos or artwork to pretty up the postings. When they email it in along with links to the source data I'll put it all together on this end and post it up.

DLE: So people who can't write a lick can still be contributors?

LNE: You bet. People can be news spotters. A recent article published on the Libertarian News Examiner was about a Reason.tv interview with Whole Foods CEO John Mackey. The postup of the video was initially spotted buried in a news roundup buried in a batch of Google News Alerts. So now it can be shared with even more libertarians who might have missed it.

DLE: Well, I wish you luck with it.

LNE: Luck with it? I need help with it. Libertarians are very independent minded and quarrelsome and getting more than two or three to work together is like trying to capture soap bubbles with a catcher's mitt, but if enough will pitch in with article ideas they'll be rewarded with free publicity and wider recognition than they could ever get on their own.

DLE: And is there some way they can contact you for more information?

LNE: C'mon, dude, this isn't a real interview, it's a thinly disguised news release. It's an infomercial. It's blatant PR. There's bound to be a link below for the Libertarian News Examiner information page.

DLE: Well, in that case, thank you.

LNE: No, thank you.

DLE: No no, thank you...
