Boston Tea Party, December 16, 1773

Featuring stuff about this month of particular interest to libertarians and freedom-minded folks in general.

Boston Tea Party – A politically incorrect and illegal act by today’s standards because on December 16, 1773 members of a patriot group called the Sons of Liberty (crackers, rednecks, anti-government militia group, vast rightwing conspiracy) dressed up like Indians (politically incorrect term for Native Americans, formerly known as Noble Redmen and Noble Savages before they too became politically incorrect) boarded ships in Boston Harbor (terrorist hijacking) and threw crates of tea into the water (environmental disaster which today would lead to multibillion dollar tax-funded cleanup boondoggle) as a protest against the tea tax (even though Veep-elect Joe Biden thinks 180 degrees out of phase that it's patriotic to pay taxes imposed by the ruling class on mere citizens).

Other acts of freedom worthy of celebration that occurred in December:

5th - Alcohol Prohibition repealed in 1933
15th - Bill of Rights ratified in 1791
19th - President Clinton impeached in 1998
27th – Puritans mandate 12 man juries in 1623

"What at first was plunder assumed the softer name of revenue." - Thomas Paine
