The trendy, young and chic are working out in the Marina these days at CRUNCH fitness’s newest location on Union Street. The pulse of Britney Spears’ “Circus” fills the air as bodies pump some iron, transcend into bliss in the exclusive “Anti-Gravity Yoga”, or tackle the terrain in a cycling inspired “ The Ride” class. The new 11,000 sq. ft. facility located at 1725 Union is one of 6 clubs operated by CRUNCH in the bay area. The Van Ness location will be closing its doors as of March 15, 2009
CRUNCH states “We kept it real when we built our brand new, two-story Union Street location, using natural materials to design the space, resulting in a transcendentally awesome, interior. We also incorporated eco-friendly features and installed a “green” yoga studio. Add to that all of the state-of-the-art equipment found in any Crunch location plus a juice bar, ride studio and you start to get the picture. Union Street is where members come to find their Zen and bench-press it”..jpg)
Weight equipment includes selectorized equipment and free weights; treadmills, elliptical machines and bikes for cardio; 34 indoor cycling bikes in a spacious studio equipped with AC and bamboo flooring in the yoga studio. And of course, the BEST instructors with classic and cutting edge classes, including Rock Bottom, TRX Pilates, and Yoga Body Sculpt.
In fact, I’d love to see you in my Wednesday night, 5:30pm Fat Burning Pilates class, the best of both worlds combined into one. See you there!
