Free agent forward Antonio McDyess has agreed in principle to a 3-year contract offer from the San Antonio Spurs according to the Spurs official website and the Express News.
The McDyess signing should complete this summer's offseason overhaul with the trade for Richard Jefferson, the draft picks - DeJuan Blair, Jack McClinton and Nando de Colo - and the free agent signing of Marcus Haislip.
After the Jefferson trade sent forwards Fabricio Oberto and Kurt Thomas to Milwaukee, the Spurs were thin in the frontcourt. Since then, San Antonio has added three forwards in Blair, Haislip and McDyess.
San Antonio also has Frenchman Ian Mahinmi under contract. The 6-10 power forward has spent the last two years mostly with the Spurs' NBDL team, the Austin Toros.
