Recently, NBA Examiner Sherron Shabazz spoke with Spurs' rookie forward DeJuan Blair.

Blair, who posted a double-double in his NBA debut, is averaging 8.3 points and 8.3 rebounds in 20 minutes and 30 seconds per game.

The second round pick and former Pitt Panther product is shooting over 70 percent from the field but just 33.3 percent from the foul line.

Despite eighth on the team in minutes played, his 25 rebounds are good for second on the team to Tim Duncan's 38 boards. Blair's 17 defensive boards are also second to Duncan, however, his eight offensive rebounds are tops on the roster.
