Murder suspect arrested during traffic stop in Missouri

St. Louis – September 21, 2009 Michael Williams was in the 400 block of Wimmer Place in Illinois dropping someone off when a car pulled up and began shooting.
The shooter fired at the black Kia Optima Michael Williams was driving and Williams was hit.
Williams drove for a few blocks and then passed out in the car dying later that same day. His car was found in the 1700 Block of Martin Luther King Drive.
Elijah Branch, 33 years old, lives at 4735 Piggott Avenue in Centreville and is suspected as being the shooter. Branch has been charged with first-degree murder with a bail of 1 million dollars.
Friday, October 9, 2009 Elijah Branch was pulled over for a traffic stop in Missouri and arrested for the September murder in East St. Louis.
