Free Realms is a kid friendly, free MMORPG. There are many jobs a player can be, and they are not limited by their choice. They can switch jobs any time they like. Jobs are a combination of classes and professions found in other games, like Warrior, Archer, Wizard, Chef, or Blacksmith. There are other jobs to choose from not found in traditional RPGs, like Kart Driver, Postman, or Card Duelist.

Free Realms is free, with limitations. There is a paid membership, for about $5.00 a month. Some content is only available to those with the paid membership, like Warrior and Blacksmith, and some other in game content. Card Duelists will benefit from buying the real-world Free Realms Trading Card Game. Starter packs range from $10 to $15, and the booster packs are about $4 a pack. The cards offer other exclusive in-game content as well.
There has been an announcement of upcoming content that will be released. There are currently two available races in the game, Human and Pixie. A third race, Dwarf, will be added. A new minigame, soccer, will be added, letting players come together as a team. Also, players will be able to have their character turned into a card for the Trading Card Game. The expanded content is due to be released during the summer.
