Imperial Agent Class Revealed
Imperial Agent Class Revealed

Two new classes have been announced for Star Wars: The Old Republic.

To absolutely no surprise, there is the Jedi Knight. The Sith Warrior was previously announced. This is the Republic version of the character, focusing on melee lightsaber combat, with the help of force powers. The class will wear armor, not just the clothie robes and gear that Jedi are typically pictured in.

Another class for the Empire has been announced, Imperial Agent. An Imperial Agent is someone who makes things work. They use high-tech gear and various tools. They sneak in and kill, very rogue like. Screenshots show them armed with a gun and a scope. They will probably be a ranged class, using the Smuggler’s style of taking cover and shooting.

BioWare said this class was inspired by such characters as Grand Moff Tarkin, the guy who blew up Alderaan in Episode IV, even after Leia gave him the name of a planet where the Rebels were stationed. While players might not be able to blow up planets in The Old Republic, this should be a hint at the kind of traitorous choices to be made when going through the Imperial Agent story.

Jedi Knight is ready for viewing on the Holonet now, and Imperial Agent should be available next week. This leaves only two classes yet to be revealed.
