Learn best practices associated with blogs

How to create a business blog is the topic for IPRA's November lunch speaker, Nancy McCord of McCord Web Services. The event will be held on Thursday, November 5, 2009 from 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. at the Embassy Suites Hotel in Tyson's Corner (McLean, VA).

Nancy McCord will share how to maximize the message in our blogs by using SEO techniques as well as how to take advantage of organic and paid search placement.

  • Why it is important that you blog for your business.
  • Best practices: timing, frequency, and length of posts.
  • Crafting the perfect blog post title.
  • Blog productivity tips: where to find something to write about, making writing easy, making it interesting.
  • Organic search placement realities for blogs.
  • Putting your blog to work for you.

On a side note, I have seen Nancy McCord speak before, and would like Examiner.com readers to know her blogging advice is top-notch.  This event is a real value.

The cost is $25 for IPRA and PRSA-NCC members, $35 for non-members and guests. Register by November 2, 2009 to avoid $5 surcharge at the door. Includes a buffet lunch with beverage and gratuity. Cash only at the door.
