Dr. Burgio is a clinical neuropsychologist and developmental psychologist with extensive post-doctoral training in psychopharmacology. Dr. Burgio received her M.A. in Experimental Psychology from Brooklyn College of the City University of New York where she specialized in Physiological Psychology, and a Ph.D. in Applied Developmental Studies from New York University. Licensed in both New York and California, Dr. Burgio’s clinical practice specialized in child and family mental health, neuro-psychological and psychological testing. Dr. Burgio held the title of Clinical Assistant Professor at the UCLA School of Medicine for five years. A graduate of University of Southern California’s Masters of Professional Writing program, she has authored several books for and about children. Currently, Dr. Burgio works as a freelance editor and reporter.
