Many people are cutting back on vacations, not traveling, to save money. Gardening is a rewarding way to spend time, and have a passion grow! Recently, our Art Gallery group visited a wonderful couple who have a "garden train". Over years of working on this garden, they have added houses, people, animals, bridges, trains. All of the buildings in the garden were made by the owner. Hunting for model pieces to add to the garden has been a joy.

Start your creative garden with items that you personally love. Do you have a passion for colored glass? Other ideas for a garden: paintings that you create, animal themes, ocean life themes, pottery  pieces, broken dishes stepping stones.  The point is to choose something that makes you smile, and go for it! Don't do it all in one season. Take time to plan the layout, work with the land you have, and take advantage of nature. Water, trees and plants will add to your creative challenge. Take a vacation in your own back yard!
