Give your family and yourself a treat this weekend! Rob Kapilow, a frequent NPR guest will be in concert in Kansas City this weekend.
"This Czech quartet proudly continues the deep tradition of the string quartet found in their home country. They have received top prizes in international competitions, including the most recent Banf International String Quartet competition and tour extensively. Kapilow and the Zemlinsky will explore "The American Quartet" by Czech composer Antonin Dvorak, written while he was vacationing in Spillville, Iowa, then home to a Czech immigrant community.
There will be two performances you may choose: Rob Kapilow will be at the CCC United Church of Christ (65th and Brookside) this Saturdayday,Nov 14 at 11 a.m. with the Czech Zemlinsky String Quartet and Sunday Nov 15 at 2 in Paradise Park in Lee's Summit.
