Each winter, Free Shakespeare Miami brings a Shakespeare play to a large public audience.

If you haven’t read Macbeth since high school, you may want to take this opportunity to do it again. Also, Macbeth lends itself well to the graphic novel concept. Encourage your children to read a graphic-novel version of the play before seeing it, or after.  Amazon offers a variety of graphic-novel versions of Macbeth. Visit Amazon with your children and select an edition that appeals to you.

These Macbeth productions started on January 9 and will conclude January 26.

Nightly from January 15 through 18, Macbeth is being presented at 7:30 PM in Coconut Grove’s Peacock Park, the same location as the Great Taste of the Grove last weekend. There is also a 2 PM matinee on Saturday, January 17.

The final performances are scheduled nightly at 7:30 PM from January 22 through 25 on the campus of Florida Memorial University in Miami Gardens. A 2 PM matinee is on Saturday, January 24.

If you go, come early and bring lawn chairs and blankets.
