If you’re like me, you don't hibernate your bike in the winter. But also if you’re like me, you want to be comfortable while out there in the freezing cold air riding your bike. The answer is heated jackets or liners and gloves. You can also get the heated pants or liners. I tried them but they seemed a bit too much to get into (or out of) so I only used them a few times.

I can tell you these heated clothes make all the difference in the world! I've been using the heated jacket liner and gloves for several years and wouldn't ride far in the cold Oregon winter weather without them. Another good thing to keep you comfortable and only costs around $20 is a wrap around ski mask. You can get them at any ski shop.

So I looked into these items at Harley-Davidson and here's what they've got...

Men's Heated Jacket Liner

A completely re-designed heating system integrates Nanowire™ technology and a GHC High Density Heat® system. Nanowire™ technology features a patented process of using silvered fibers stitched into a fabric and then waterproof sealed. This heating system is strategically placed throughout the garment to provide intense, but uniform heat coverage. Heated liner to be worn under jacket. Includes wiring, instruction manual, and on/off switch for regulating heat while riding. Dual control thermostat compatible to independently control temperature for the jacket and the heated gloves (98323-09VM). Graphics on left chest. 100% nylon ripstop. One year limited warranty on grament. Lifetime warranty on heating elements. For about $230.00

Men's Heated Gloves

The Heated Gloves feature Microwire™ heating technology, a patented process of using micro-sized stainless steel fibers that are intertwined and encased in a Teflon® coating. The Microwire™ is woven into a heating matrix within the glove and provides consistent heat coverage to the entire length of each finger, including the thumb as well as the back of the hand. 100% Genuine Leather gloves with waterproof, breathable Aquatex™ liner. Electrical plug-ins built into gauntlet cuff. Includes connecting harness, power switch, and three prong harness to go up jacket sleeves. Can be worn alone or with other heated clothing. Padded palms, drawcord closure and graphics in contrasting colors. One-year limited warranty on garment. Lifetime warranty on heating elements. $185.00

Men's Heated Pant Liner

A completely reengineered heating system integrates Nanowire™ technology and a GHC High Density Heat® system. Nanowire™ technology features a patented process of using silvered fibers stitched into a fabric and then waterproof sealed. This heating system is strategically placed throughout the garment to provide intense, but uniform heat coverage. Heated liner can be worn under pants like thermal underwear. Includes instruction manual, wiring, power switch, and connecting harness switch so they can be worn by themselves. Zipper and snap waist closure. Rib-knit leg cuffs. Graphics on left hip. 100% nylon ripstop. One year limited warranty on garment. Lifetime warranty on heating elements. 98326-09VM fits 30-32" inseam. 98326-09VL fits 34-36" inseam. About $175.00

Harley-Davidson, as usual, is on the high end. You might Google around for other sources to find a better deal. I can tell you this, one of my gloves quit working after I'd had it over a year and they replaced it. They do stand behind their products warrantees.
