We hear Joe Biden has been on the phones playing stimulus sheriff again.
Perhaps we don’t give Joe Biden enough credit. Imagine phoning governors and mayors to ask how they’re doing with their “allowances.” You just gave little Newark billions of dollars in aid… and he wants to know why they didn’t get more money for high-speed rail, why the money isn’t being directed at saving jobs, why a slow gob-feeder isn’t being implemented to save money and jobs, why state money hasn’t trickled down yet and why they can’t get a new fire station. What a headache! Now Biden has to follow up on all these requests and questions… and still sit in all the White House meetings… and attend numerous functions the President would rather not attend. Joe Biden was right to be wary of this #2 job.
