When you think of a game store on a Wednesday night, you think quiet. Maybe a few stragglers browsing the selection or a few folks dropping by to pick up the newest book to take with them to the week night RPG.

Not so at Guardian games. Their normal hours Sunday thru Thursday are Noon - 8pm, but Wednesdays are different and they are open late in the evening with gamers filling the back areas of the store playing Warhammer 40k, DnD, MTG, Monsterpocolypse among others. Angel keeps the store open late to accommodate the plethora of gaming and gamers available.

Despite the large number of people circulating around tables in the midst of various games, the area is so well laid out that you never feel crowded. 11 of the 17 tables were being used, which leaves room for another 6 tables for trying demo copies of merchandise, or starting another game.

Guardian Games is an incredibly welcoming store and it's easy to see why when you meet the owner, Angel May. She's a long term gamer who loves what she does, and it shows. I would welcome anyone who is interested in finding a new gaming group, or a space to play with your current group to check out guardian games.
