A quick look at what those in the blogosphere and around college football's cyber community are saying about Missouri:

  • The Daily Camera’s Kyle Ringo explains how Colorado’s defense would be best served concentrating on Mizzou tight end Chase Coffman, who has feasted on the Buffs D in recent years, to help avoid getting “snow-balled” much like it did a season ago, when Coffman accounted for three scores in a 55-10 Tiger victory in Boulder.

  • The zany boys at Mizzourah mull over the possibility of Jeremy Maclin, whom they affectionately refer to as “Cheat Code,” forgoing the NFL Draft and returning for his junior year.

  • Among other tidbits, Columbia Daily Tribune Tiger beat writer Dave Matter gives a statistical breakdown of this weekend’s Homecoming showdown with Colorado. If you’re not already familiar with Mr. Matter, who works tirelessly to give fans a fantastic amount of insight on the Missouri team, be sure to frequent the “Trib” and its football section

  • ESPN.com Big 12 blogger Tim Griffin gives his predictions on this weekend’s conference showdowns and explains the record-breaking offensive surge that is taking place in the Big 12 this season.

  • Mike DeArmond of The Kansas City Star delves into the recent troubles of the maligned Mizzou defense and how players and coaches are returning to the basics to help right the ship.

  • And, lastly, a bit of bulletin board material for all the Black and Old Gold faithful out there. A blogger for Sports Illustrated’s Fan Nation who prefers to hide behind the alias “BruceS1G” had this to say about the Texas game.

Can you say vastly overrated? Mizzou has gotten trashed two weeks in a row now and have exhibited a defense that might be hard pressed to stop a bunch little old ladies on walkers. It would seem that the Chase-Daniel-One-Man-Team concept is a little lacking.

The only problem is, it’s actually hard to disagree with him. But for the sake of animosity, I was happy to see Brucie had inexplicably misspelled Wake ‘Forrest.’
