Every guitar legend has touched this amplifier at least once: Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, Bob Marley, you name it has used the Vox AC30 amp at least once. The Vox AC30 combo amp is a great tool that originates from England and was first introduced in 1958. The Vox AC30 is a tube amp that is known for its warm sound so get ready for that great clear and warm tube sound that you can add some feedback, fuzz, overdrive, or distortion and hear this awesome amp sing.

The Vox AC30 comes with a standard EQ to adjust the lows, the mids, and the highs. It also comes with a tremolo and reverb footswitch. The reverb part of the footswitch can be used to thicken your tone while the tremolo creates a more bendy type of sound that oscillates up and down. The Vox AC30 also has a very awesome feature called the Topboost which creates a vintage AC30 sound such as what the Beatles or Yardbirds used. The other mode that you can used is on the normal channel which offers two different modes called normal and bright which capture two other vintage Vox AC30 tones. You can choose between the three modes and mix and mash and discover and create something great.

The Vox AC30 is one of the original great amps that catches that legendary English tone. Famous muscians that have used and some still use this amp for live performances and recordings are the Yardbirds, the Beatles, Keith Richards, Pete Townshend, Paul Weller, Brian May, The Edge, Tom Petty, Peter Buck and many others. The AC30 has been used by alternative rock bands such as REM to the fab four stringed players: George Harrison, John Lennon, and Paul McCartney, and by famous musicians in the Yardbirds. If you do not know who the Yardbirds are, the Yardbirds are an English band that came out around the same time as the Beatles and overtime has had legendary guitarists such as Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck, and Jimmy Page and while they were in the Yardbirds they all used Vox AC30s. Go to www.youtube.com/watch to see Jeff Beck's awesome playing in the Yardbirds. This song will give you a great example of how the Vox AC30 sounds, listen to other Yardbirds songs as well if you want more samples. The Edge from U2 is another famous musician that has used the Vox AC30 for a very long time, he has used his Vox AC30 to record every single U2 album and has used his AC30 at every U2 live performance. Another great guitarist to listen to who loves his Vox AC30s is Brian May of Queen. The Vox AC30 is a legendary amp that has been used by every great guitarist at least once so I suggest you join the trend and see why every guitarist has used this legendary instrument.
