Gourd Birdhouses

November 21, 2009

Gourd Birdhouses
Saturday, 1 – 4 p.m.
Cost: $10. Limit: 20.
Participants: Ages 10 and up.
If you think winter is for the
birds, you might be right.
We have many resident
birds that stay in Kentucky
all year around and to our
feathered friends, anytime
is a good time to prepare for
spring! Join us for a day inside
as we transform gourds into birdhouses. We’ll help
you choose the right size to
help you attract the birds
you want. A few examples
of the birds you can attract
are purple martins,
wrens and chickadees. We
will provide the paints and
brushes to decorate your
gourd birdhouse. With the
holiday season right around
the corner, these make perfect
Christmas gifts too! Registration and prepayment required.
