If you're like me, you've been starying at Needless' over the top flash animation website while squirting internetgasms all about in anticipation of one of the best action manga out there. Last week, we were graced with enough epic and awesome to make even the loli ban woes much less painful.
For the internet, it's time for another war against unwarranted self importance. The LAWL TEH MANGA IZ BETTER TAHN TEH ANIME bunch has already started their shenanigans for a bit of an epeen boost, but nevermind them. For you fans of the manga, don't worry. Needless is awesome, and so far the anime is too. Post-apocalyptic super powered oppai infested Japan? Count me in. Twice.

The series follows events half a century after World War III, after the world has become devastated by mankind's madness through nuclear warfare. Countless areas across the world have been reduced to radioactive wastelands, with areas called BLACKSPOTS that--in the case of Hyper Power Fighting Japan--are shunned and ignored by the rest of civilization.
Within the Blackspots came not only change from devastation of the land through warfare, but a separation of mankind itself. The poor souls that still live within these devastated areas live in a world where the gap between the rich and the poor are even greater. Those humans without means to defend themselves live in fear and frustration, not only of the powerful corporations that farm their organs and experiment on their people for the sake of science, but in fear of Needless. Those who were born with supernatural abilities simply known as Chikara, Power.
What do we have so far?
Eve, a mentally challenged blue haired girl that can transform in random stuff.
Blade, a Hellsing extra boss with the powers of Rockman.
Gido, pretty much Dr. Wily.
Cruz, pretty much as useless as Ravi until laaater.
What does this mean to us?
Well. Titties. There's two reasons I've bothered with the manga. For the awesome action scenes, and the boobs that flail along with it. Admittedly I was a bit skeptical with the manga to anime translation, since some of the posters and flyers that have been sailing around seemed to nerf the jiggly goodness that goes on, but as we can tell by the opening, Needless doesn't disappoint.
The only downside I can point so far is the few cut out portions that were excluded in the transfer from manga to anime. Not saying it's a horrible thing to do, since things need to be cut in order to make a great animated work, but episode 1 was a bit too hurried in plot progression. PLOT LOL WUT PLOT BOOBS AND EXPLOSIONS HURR DUUR. No. Really. Go read the manga while this is new.
That said, it's just episode 1. It was a great start. Here's hoping it only gets better.
Here's hoping for a great beach/pool episode. I'll spare you good folks too much more TLDR, and get with the picchars. A lot of the images are a bit too big to put on slideshow, so head over to mahbuddy daev's site fer fuzzruggin picture good times!
