Honestly, Nina Antalk is the only reason to keep going. Unless you’re a fangirl that foams around at Spike Spiegel Ripoff or any of the Bishounen Cannon Fodder, Nina is the only reason to watch. She’s pissed off all the time, she’s hot, and she can fight. A woman that can kick someone’s for hitting on her while I’m busy healing on World of Warcraft is the kinda woman I want. Throw in panty shots and the ability to fly, shii. I jazzed.
I’m not that shallow, of course. Close, but not quite. Watching Nina squirm as her Captain-Subordinate relationship with Layfon develops, as well as having the rest of Layfon’s harem pretty much stretch their urethra for his attention is a bit amusing. The emotional content isn’t as great as I’d like it to be, but it’s much better than the rest of the plot. The tentacles helped a litte, too.
If you can suffer through a few episodes of bad dialogue and…a few more episodes of bad Engrish dialogue, then Regios is something to watch on your spare time. Just don’t get too emotionally attached. We of the Minorin fanclub are already angered enough by Toradora’s ending. Can’t go causing more scars now.
Oh yeah. Cooldere loli. If that doesn't make hours of poor writing and flashbacks worthwhile, what will?
