We rush home to watch our favorite TV shows. We hurry to the grocery store and to the bank and to the cleaners. But we don’t rush to tell the ones we love that we do, in fact, love them. Why wait for that one designated day a year? Today, let’s celebrate all the people in our lives that we are thankful for. Those friends and loved ones for whom you feel lucky to know, and grateful to have in your life. The ones who cause you to smile or laugh out loud just by thinking of them. The ones who care enough to be honest with you when you unknowingly need a tissue or have an unidentifiable object stuck in your tooth. The ones with whom you celebrate when life is grand. And when life isn’t so grand and you’re the only one who can mend yourself, the ones waiting patiently by your side, with open arms, for you to return to them.

Our biggest mistake may be assuming there will be time to tell them tomorrow.  Let’s celebrate each other today, because in the end, we’re all we really have.
