Conan O’Brien satisfied fan expectations with his "Tonight Show" debut, treating his new L.A. audience to in-your-face New York style political incorrectness (a mock video featuring Vice President Biden with Supreme Court Nominee Sotomayer may have crossed the line), somewhat short of their mark adlibs from faithful sidekick Andy Richter, playful banter with guest star Will Ferrell, and a raucous music set by Pearl Jam.

What I loved was a hilarious opening video showing "WWCD" when “move to Los Angeles” can’t be checked off his list of new hosting responsibilities. The O’Brien solution: Jog across America. Certainly, celebrities of his caliber have much easier ways to travel from Point A to Point B, but he of rooster hair and alabaster skin was unable to hail a cab. Go figure.

The video gave new reins to an old NBC stalwart, O’Brien’s signature imprint of wacky zany. Or so I thought. After stumbling across the following video, I’m not quite so sure. You be the judge.

Did O’Brien tweak previously broadcast material for his laugh out loud tour de force?
