One Reckless Summer: a review
If you’re looking for a great beach read, look no further than
Toni Blake's One Reckless Summer. With sizzling sexual tension and sensuality, heartfelt characters, and a compelling story, Toni Blake’s latest contemporary romance will take you away to those hot, lazy summer days.
Jenny Toliver has returned to Destiny, Ohio, her hometown, after divorcing her cheating husband, who was having an affair with her student teacher. Told by her ex that she’s not great in bed, Jenny understandably has a few hang ups when it comes to bedroom matters. It doesn’t help matters that everyone considers as the “good girl,” the Sheriff’s daughter who can do no wrong. But Jenny is suffocating under the common belief she’s a nice girl and to escape, she rows across the lake to stargaze.
What she doesn’t expect is to run into bad boy Mick Brody. Mick is the complete opposite of Jenny. While she was embraced by their community, he and his troublesome brothers were not. Mick has always desired Jenny but always known that he wasn’t good enough for her. But right now, Jenny Toliver is the last person he wants to see. No one knows that he’s back. No one can know…it really is a matter of life and death, so Mick demands that she leave.
Except she doesn’t and pent-up desires erupt into a night of passion. Despite his knowledge to stay away from her, he can’t. And when Mick trusts Jenny with his secret, will she be able to keep his trust or destroy it? Read One Reckless Summer to find out.
