If you’re looking for a simple bread recipe to use as an easy appetizer or as an accompaniment to your favorite Italian meal then this is definitely an easy alternative. This recipe is super easy and you’ll be amazed at how simple, yet delicious it is.

INGREDIENTS:

Cooking spray
2 packages Betty Crocker pizza mix***
Olive oil
Garlic salt
Parmesan cheese, grated
Romano cheese, grated
Italian seasoning
Oregano leaves

***Follow the directions on the back of the package of the amount of water needed.

PROCEDURE:

1. Pre-heat the oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. Grease a 12 to 14 inch sized pizza pan with cooking spray and set aside.

2. Empty the contents of the pizza mix into a large mixing bowl. Add the water and some Parmesan cheese, Romano cheese, and garlic salt. Mix until a smooth ball forms.

3. Cover and let it stand at room temperature or in a warm place for about 30 minutes, just to allow the dough to rest.

4. Once the dough has rested press it into the prepared pizza pan, making sure to create about a 1-inch crust.

5. Spread some olive oil on top of the pizza and top with more Parmesan cheese, Romano cheese, garlic salt, Italian seasoning and oregano.

6. Place in the pre-heated oven and bake for about 20 to 25 minutes or until golden brown.

7. Remove from the oven and allow to cool for about 10 minutes. Cut into wedges, strips, or triangles. Serve warm.

BON APPETIT! ENJOY!

VARIATIONS:

*Feel free to top the pizza bread with your favorite pizza toppings as well such as pizza sauce, pepperoni, ham, pineapple, sausage, bacon, black olives, peppers, mushrooms, jalapenos, etc…
