Outside magazine chooses their top ski resorts in North America, Colorado and Utah lead the way

Outside magazine's november issue named the best Ski resorts in North America. They list tips such as what nearby roads are closed for bad weather, best locations without crowds, the deepest powder and best party scenes as well as ski travel bargain deals. Most of the locations listed are in the western region of the United States, particularly Utah and Colorado. Here is their list:

-Alta/Snowbird, Utah
- Jackson Hole, Wyoming
- Alyeska Resort, Alaska
- Silverton Mountain, Colorado
- Breckenridge, Colorado
- Whistler-Blackcomb, British Columbia
- Park City, Utah
-Aspen/Snowmass, Colorado
- Powder Mountain, Utah
- Jay Peak, Vermont
- Bridger Bowl, Montana
- Crested Butte, Colorado
- Revelstoke Mountain Resort, British Columbia
- Steamboat, Colorado
- Taos, New Mexico
- Mammoth Mountain, California
