Cool Tequila Rum Punch
Cooler Tequila Rum Punch

Tequila and rum are not often mixed together, but they complement each other well. And today is National Rum Punch Day – the perfect day to mix these two spirits with a refreshing blend of juices.

The recipe below calls for Cactus Cooler, an orange-pineapple soda pop that is readily available in Southern California (and the surrounding area), but may be difficult to obtain elsewhere. If you can’t find it, you can substitute pineapple juice and an orange-flavored soda, like Sunkist, Fanta, or Orange Crush.

Cooler Tequila Rum Punch

Ingredients

  • 2 cups Bacardi silver
  • 1/4 cup Bacardi 151
  • 1 cup Sauza tequila blanco
  • 1/2 cup lime juice
  • 1/4 cup agave nectar
  • 3 1/2 cups Cactus Cooler
  • 2 1/2 cups tangerine juice

Directions

  1. Add all ingredients in a punch bowl.
  2. Stir until well mixed.
  3. Pour over tumblers filled with ice.
