Throughout the month of August, we're compiling your votes to make up the All-Decade teams for the Phoenix Suns. The focus is on one decade each week, continuing this past week with the 1980's.
Each day, there is a new poll for a different position, starting with point guards on Mondays. You vote for who you think should be the starting point guard on that decade's team, and then we do it all over again on Tuesday for shooting guards all the way to centers each Friday. At the end of the week, the top vote recipient at each position is the starting five, and the second highest at each position make up the All-Decade bench.
We've completed the second week of voting, and you've successfully put together your All-1980's Phoenix Suns team.
| Player | Position | Vote Percentage |
| Jay Humphries | Guard | 67 percent of Monday's votes |
| Walter Davis | Guard | 52 percent of Tuesday's votes |
| Eddie Johnson | Forward | 85 percent of Wednesday's votes |
| Larry Nance | Forward | 86 percent of Thursday's votes |
| Alvan Adams | Center | 88 percent of Friday's votes |
At the end of the month, these five will join the other decade's top players at each position to vote on the ultimate All-Time Suns team.
Making up the 1980's bench were Kyle Macy (28 percent on Monday), Jeff Hornacek (37 percent on Tuesday), Alvin Scott (15 percent on Wednesday), Truck Robinson (14 percent on Thursday), and James Edwards (13 percent on Friday).
Tuesday's shooting guard vote was by far the toughest battle. Davis and Hornacek were back and forth, with "Sweet D" finally pulling away after Hornacek held the lead for the majority of the afternoon (granted were not talking a ton of votes here).
We'll do it again Monday, starting with point guards in the 1990's. Looking at the lists, each day should be pretty interesting. Look for guys like Kevin Johnson, Tom Chambers, and Dan Majerle, who started their careers in the 80's but played the majority of it in the 90's.
