Genesee Theatre is featuring an evening of laughs, on July 18, with Comedy Jam, featuring the styling’s of eight comedians. Lake County’s Community Comedy Jam features eight different comedians, each featured in major broadcast specials, movies and comedy clubs across America

The Lake County’[s Community Comedy Jam includes comedians from Last Comic Standing, BET Comic View, Showtime at the Apollo and White Boys in the Hood to name a few! Soyna D, of Chicago comedy fame, hosts the show and brings an expansive comedic resume that boasts 16 years of experience and appearances on Def Jam, BET, Comedy Central, Showtime at the Apollo and the Queens of Comedy Tour. Special guest, Tony Schulfield, WGCI Chicago’s own “bad boy” of radio, will also be appearing as part of this comedic extravaganza.

• Pierre and Honest John; Los Angeles based comedians featured on Def Jam, BET, Comedy Central, Comic Unleashed and with roles in Baps and For the Love of Money (Pierre) and White Boys in the Hood (John).
• Ray Lipowski and B-Cole; Hailing from Chicago, these comedians have each appeared on Comedy Central and BET. Movie Roles include I’m in Luv wita Crackhead.
• Arvin Mitchell; Originally from St. Louis, this performer boasts commercial work with Nissan and McDonalds as well as appearances on Last Comic Standing, Comedy Central and the Jamie Foxx Special. Mitchell is best known for his work as the “bartender” BET’s Comic View and as host of the BET Awards. 
• Corey Fernandez; This New York native brings Latino influence to the show and has appeared on Latino Laugh Jam, BET, Def Jam and Comedy Central.
