Save-A-Pet Adoption Center in Grayslake, Illinois, is holding holiday events to benefit the dogs, cats and other pets at the no-kill animal shelter. Stop at the shelter to purchase holiday gifts, buy an Entertainment Book, get a picture taken and to consult animal experts during the Holiday Open House and Craft Boutique.

Save-a-Pet's Annual Holiday Open House is on Saturday and Sunday, December 6-7, offering craft items, gift baskets and baked goods for people and pets. Stop at the non-profit no-kill animal shelter to do some of your Christmas shopping.

All proceeds from the sale benefits the animals.
On Saturday Dr. Kim Ogden-Avrutik, animal communicator, will be offering 15 minute consultations for you and your companion animal. 15 minute sessions are $25. One animal friend per session. Reserve a session by calling 1-847-740-7788 ext. 103.
Dennis Hill, professional dog trainer and animal behaviorist, will be at the shelter on Saturday from noon until 1 pm to answer questions and to sign his books and DVDs.
Santa will be at the shelter for photos on Sunday.
Gift Wrapping at Barnes & Noble, Westfield Hawthorne Shopping Center, Vernon Hills on December 6 and 14.
Save-a-Pet volunteers will be at Barnes and Noble at Hawthorne to wrap holiday presents for donations to Save-a-Pet.
Hours are Saturday noon to 5 pm and Sunday noon to 4 pm.
Photoshoot at Deerpark PetsMart December 20-21
The Kildeer PetsMart holiday photo shoot benefits all proceeds to Save-a-Pet. Photos may be taken of your pet alone or with the family. Santa Paws will be in attendance.
The photoshoot hours on are 11 am to 4 pm on December 20-21.
PetsMart is at the intersection of Route 12 and Quentin Road in the Quentin Corners strip mall. (same mall as Best Buy).
Entertainment Books at Save-A-Pet
