Find out more about Frank: Frank D. Crandall, Jr., an author and writer, was born under another name on Sept. 10, 1953 in Miami, Fla. Mr. Crandall attended Henry M. Flagler Elementary School, Kinloch Park Junior High School, and Miami Coral Park Senior High School, all in the greater Miami area. Not the best student, he quit high school and, on his seventeenth birthday, joined the United States Marine Corps. After his honorable discharge in 1975, Mr. Crandall embarked on a career in law enforcement. Mr. Crandall was admittedly not the best government employee, and on occasion exposed what he saw as stupidity and greed in his supervisors and administrators. He married three times and fathered three children. Mr. Crandall medically retired from the State of California in 2000 with hypertension and hyper anxiety. He ultimately turned to writing and is the author of The Measure of a Man published in 2009, and is in various stages in the manuscripts for A Country Mile in a New York Minute, and Danger Close. |
