Red Wings

 

1907: Former Red Wings defenseman Gene Carrington (1934) was born on this day in Edmonton. Carrington did not play for Detroit in the regular season, but did play four games in the playoffs and did not register a point.

1933: Former Red Wings center Ron Ingram (1963-64) was born on this day in Toronto. Ingram played 50 games for Detroit and scored three goals and six assists for nine points.
