As we wait for the start of the second round against the Anaheim Ducks, game one is Friday May 1 at 7:00 and game two is Sunday, May 3 at 2:00, both games at Joe Louis Arena, let's look back on the regular season that was.

Several Detroit Red Wings had career year's in 2008-09. Here is a listing of the players who equalled or surpassed their previous bests in a variety of statistical categories.

#11 - Dan Cleary - 26 assists

#13 - Pavel Datsyuk - 32 goals, 97 points (tied), 11 power play goals (tied)

#14 - Derek Meech - 41 games played, two goals, five assists, seven points, 12 penalty minutes and 44 shots (tied).

#22 - Brett Lebda - six goals.

#26 - Jiri Hudler - 82 games played, 23 goals, 34 assists, 57 points, six power play goals, 155 shots.

#28 - Brian Rafalski - 49 assists and 59 points

#29 - Ty Conklin - six shutouts, 25 wins

#37 - Mikael Samuelsson - 81 games played, 50 penalty minutes, seven power play goals, and 257 shots.

#40 - Henrik Zetterberg - 36 penalty minutes (tied).

#43 - Darren Helm - 16 games played, one assist, one point, four penalty minutes, 29 shots.

#51 - Valtteri Filppula (right) - 80 games played, 28 assists, 40 points, 42 penalty minutes, 129 shots.

#52 - Jonathan Ericsson - 19 games played, 1 goal (tied), three assists, four points, 15 penalty minutes, and 25 shots.

#55 - Niklas Kronwall - 80 games played, 45 assists, 51 points, four power play goals, one game-winning goal (tied), and 121 shots.

#81 - Marian Hossa - plus- 27

#82 - Tomas Kopecky - 79 games played, six goals, 13 assists, 19 points, 46 penalty minutes, one power play goal, one shorthanded goal, two game-winning goals, and 110 shots.

#93 - Johan Franzen - 34 goals, 25 assists, 59 points, plus- 21, eight game-winning goals (tied), and 246 shots.

#96 - Tomas Holmstrom - plus- 18
