Is it Autism, or only autistm - like?
Autism or Autism-Like? Movie maker and his wife on Special Needs Kids Talk Radio June 24th
 
Erik and Jennie Linthorst will be guest speakers on Special Needs Kids Talk Radio Wednesday, June 24th at 9:00 am central standard time to share their life story and the work they do now to help kids and parents with special needs in their life.
 
Autism diagnosis rates are at an all time high with estimates of 1 in 150 children on the spectrum, but what if it isn't all autism?
What if the symptoms are only autistic - like? Listen as Erik and Jennie tell us why they believe we need more specific medical diagnosis criteria in order to help our kids.
 
Erik's latest film, “Autistic-Like: Graham’s Story,” is an official selection of the Palm Beach International Film Festival, the Nashville Film Festival, the Connecticut Film Festival and many others, and Erik was an invited presenter at this years World Forum on Early Care and Education, in Belfast Ireland.  He and the film were featured on Good Morning America Health and the Documentary Channel.  DVDs of the film, and more information is available at www.autisticlike.com
 
Jennie is a certified poetry therapy facilitator who works with mothers of children with special needs to help them write about their experiences. They live and work in Manhattan Beach, California with their son Graham who is now 5. The subject of their work is based in and on the experience of raising Graham and finding the help he needed.
