A lot of women are conditioned to believe that all men want women for is Sex. Men are the enemy, as they only have one thing on their mind. They want to abuse you and use you, and when they get what they came for, they'll leave. This is not true, well not completely.

It is true that men have an instinct and inborn desire for sex, as women have an instinct to have children, just like the primates who came before us.

It is true that women can manipulate men to want to be in a relationship with them by using sex as a tool.

However, there are many more needs that a man has that a healthy relationship will fulfill, just like there is a diversity of needs a women has.

A healthy relationship will fulfill a man's need for nurturing and care, to boost his self esteem with support and encouragement, and for companionship through ‘good times and bad’, and each individual man will have his host of expectations and desires that he brings to the relationship.

An international couple, the wife a waitress from California, and the husband, a musician from Australia once said ‘All men need is food and sex to be happy’. Many who believe these days are over would be shocked and appalled by this seemingly Neanderthal comment. We can chalk this up to individual taste, and can’t apply it as a typical experience in either culture. However, there are cultures that tend to have very different ideas on sex and responsibilities of each partner, thus it’s best to have an open and honest discussion with your international partner, as their opinion may be very different than you’d expect. Communicating this openly early in the relationship will set expectations and could prevent future heartbreak.

Addressing the sex and food stereotype further, cooking for your man does fulfill a need, the need to be taken care of. Sex does fulfill the body’s need. So yes, food and sex will keep a man happy in those departments, but unless your relationship is completely emotionless, there are still other desires you’re going to have to work together on to make the relationship last. We are not just primates looking to mate, that is what makes us so unique in all of life on Earth, we have evolved.
