The North Bennet Street School just released it's Spring and Summer 2009 workshop calendar!  The school offers educational workshops in the following areas:

• Bookbinding
• Calligraphy & Paper arts
• Carpentry & home
• Jewelry making
• Locksmithing
• Musical instraments
• Woodworking

North Bennet Street School has been open since 1885.  It's purpose back then as well as today is to train people in a specific trade.  Originally the school was designed to educate new immigrants in a trade that would enable them to gain employment. 

This srping and summer the school is offering over 75 workshops and have added 39 new classes.  Plus they have a continuing partnership with the Massachusetts College of Art and Design and students can receive credits for many of the fundamental workshops offered.

So if you are looking to hone a skill or turn a hobby into a career stop on by the North Bennet Street School!
