Changing America away from our founder's principles
For the past year we have heard a lot of politicians talk about bringing change in our government. However, the change that we have seen so far isn’t change that we can believe in. Instead, progressive Democrats are trying to bring massive changes away from what our founding fathers proclaimed on July 4, 1776:
“We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights, among these are life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.”
Notice that our founders said that we were given unalienable rights from God—meaning only God could take them away. Our founders were terrified by the prospect of a tyrannical government taking away our rights to free speech, free assembly, freedom of religion, and the right to own weapons to defend ourselves. That is why they made these rights the first amendments to our Constitution.
Right now these rights are being attacked by Democrats who want to progress away from our founder’s principles so they can bring this country into a socialist new world order. There are many proposed acts going through Congress now that bring these changes to our country.
Something else that the progressives want to change is the principle that we were founded as a Christian nation. John Adams said that the fathers achieved independence on ‘the general principles of Christianity.’ Supreme Court Justice Joseph Story, who was appointed by President James Madison declared:
“In our [our] republic, there would seem to be a peculiar propriety in viewing the Christian religion as the great basis on which it must rest for its support and permanence.”
These and many other writings stating that America was founded as a Christian nation were totally disrespected by President Obama when he said in Turkey on April tenth that ”although we have a large Christian population, we do not consider ourselves a Christian nation.”
The President and his socialist associates are trying to change America away from being a Christian nation having unalienable rights from God so they can change the structure of government to one that only gives us temporary rights that can be withdrawn whenever the leaders of government feel like it.
This attempted change is an outrage! For our sake and the sake of future generations, good Americans need to rise up and resist these changes by letting their Congressmen and Senators know their concerns and that everyone will campaign against every Congressman that votes for such changes.
This weekend when we celebrate the signing of the original Declaration Of Independence, the American people need to rally and bring about a new Declaration Of Independence away from the proposed socialist new world order and back to the principles of America’s founding fathers.
