Education jobs continue to increase despite economy

Believe it or not, there are still jobs out there, and education is among the industries that are growing, according to Kate Lorenz of CareerBuilder.

Education grew at a healthy clip in 2008, and teaching jobs will continue being added in the areas of universal kindergarten, preschool, and special education.

There will also be the need for teacher assistants for special needs children.

In addition to education jobs, the following fields have a rosy job forecast: health care; government; leisure/hospitality; mining/oil and gas extraction; and business services, especially engineering, computer systems and consulting.
