For the past week the music industry has been saturated with all things Michael, sometimes overshadowing great new material. Rob Thomas’ “Her Diamons” rises 32-23 on its seven week. The song also stays put at #3 on the Hot Adult Top 40 Tracks. On its second week of release, Green Day’s “21 Guns” rises 55-37 making it the sales gainer of the week. Boys Like Girls “Love Drunk” debuts at #45 and The Ting Tings “That’s Not My Name” re-enters the chart at #45.

Lady Gaga logs in her 20th week in the top ten, and her album surpasses the million mark sales (making it a platinum record) and just being the fourth album to do so in 2009. She is also the only artist in 2009 to have had the most singles (three) selling more than a million copies. The Black Eyed Peas also celebrate as they log in their fourteenth consecutive week at the top of the Hot Digital Songs, which is the only artist who has done this since the chart began in 2004. “I Got a Feeling” enjoys its fourth week a top the chart with more than 899,000 downloads to date.

Cradlesong debuts in the top ten selling more than 122, 000 copies in its first week, while the #1 album sold 146,000 copies. Brad debuted with 130,000 in sales, while Wilco sold 99,000 copies, Jeremih 59,000, and Killswitch 58,000. The other big debut on the Top Electronic album chart at #2 is Moby’s Wait for Me.
